The Department of Public Works, City and County of Denver, has issued a Request for Qualifications (the “RFQ”) for Construction Management/General Contractor (CM/GC) services for the project named above.

General Statement of Work: This RFQ is for CM/GC Services required for the Denver 911 Communication Center Relocation project. Denver 911 has out grown their existing facility. The City has acquired a building at 12025 East 45th Avenue and approximately 43,000 sf of the facility will house a new Denver 911 communication center. The City recently developed a program and to clarify future operational and facility requirements for the 911 communication center. The program establishes the basis for design and build-out of the new facility at 45th Avenue. The scope includes tenant improvements, a seismic retro fit to meet code for an essential facility, exterior door and window replacement and site improvements as required by the program.
A Pre-Submittal Meeting will be held at 2:30 PM local time, March 29, 2016, in Conference Room 4.G.2, Wellington E. Webb Building, 201 West Colfax Avenue, Denver, CO 80202. Interested firms are encouraged to attend. Firms are responsible for any information conveyed at this meeting.
Deadline to submit questions: April 5, 2016 local time.
Printed Responses are due at 10:00 a.m. local time, April 14, 2016, delivered to Public Works Finance and Administration, Attn: Elizabeth Zollo, 201 W. Colfax, Dept. 614, Denver, CO 80202.
The Construction goal of 24% Minority and Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Participation must be met with certified participants as set forth in Section 28-60(b). The successful proposer must be prepared to submit a Compliance Plan after the conclusion of the solicitation process, as a component of CM/GC contract negotiations and award.
Prequalification Requirements: Each proposer must be pre-qualified in the Work Category of 2A – Buildings, with a Financial Limit of Twelve Million Dollars ($12,000,000). If not already prequalified, prime contractor must have submitted a prequalification application a minimum of ten (10) calendar days prior to the submittal due date. Prequalification applications must be submitted to the Department of Public Works, Prequalification Section, 201 West Colfax Avenue, Dept. 614, Denver, Colorado 80202.

Prevailing Wage: Contracts for construction, reconstruction, and remodeling are subject to the City prevailing wage rate requirements established pursuant to Section 20-76, D.R.M.C.
As the City’s best interests may appear, the Executive Director of Public Works reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, submittals.
