General Statement of Work: The City and County of Denver Public Works Department is seeking SBE General Contractors to provide on call, as needed services performing construction work to support the implementation of the citywide Sidewalk Gap Program. The City anticipates awarding multiple contracts to multiple general contractors.
Cost Estimate: The cumulative cost of all construction performed under this contract shall not exceed $3,000,000 during the Three (3) year term of the Contract. The City expects to award multiple contracts.
Small Business Enterprise: The SBE Project goal of 5% This construction contract solicitation is subject to the defined pool selection requirements of Article VII, Chapter 28 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code (D.R.M.C.) (the “SBE Ordinance”) and, as such, this contract is excluded from the coverage of Article III, Chapter 28 of the D.R.M.C. The prime contractor must be a certified SBE and shall meet the project goal of 5% with certified participants as set for in Section 28-211, by means of a compliance plan. A prime contractor cannot meet this additional participation requirement through self-performance.
Prequalification Requirements: There is no prequalification requirement.
Prevailing Wage Requirements: Contracts for construction, reconstruction, and remodeling are subject to the City prevailing wage rate requirements established pursuant to Section 20-76, D.R.M.C.
General: As the City’s best interests may appear, the Executive Director of Public Works reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, proposals.
