The Department of Public Works, City and County of Denver, has issued a Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) for 2018 SBE On-Call Construction Services. RFP documents will be available for download at www.QuestCDN.com, eBid Document No 5766542 at the cost of $10.00.

General Statement of Work: The City and County of Denver (City) is soliciting Requests for Proposals from multiple qualified Small Business Enterprise (SBE) certified firms for on-call construction services contracts to establish a new group of qualified SBE on-call general contractors to respond to proposal requests with bidding and execution of construction work on municipal building projects. Scopes may consist of a roof replacement, mechanical upgrades (HVAC controls), lighting retrofit, concrete/asphalt replacement, or other. On-call SBE general contractors will be requested to mini bid projects against other on-call SBE General Contractors to ensure the City is receiving the best value. The on-call SBE construction services contracts will perform work via a work order (project) per project.
Cost Estimate: The cumulative cost of all construction performed under this contract shall not exceed $5,000,000 during the Three (3) year term of the Contract. The City expects to award multiple contracts.
A Pre-Proposal Meeting will be held at 201 W. Colfax Ave., Denver, CO 80202, 2:00 p.m. local time, July 12, 2018, in the 1st floor conference room 1.B.6., Wellington E. Webb Building. Interested firms are encouraged to attend. Firms are responsible for any information conveyed at this meeting.

Small Business Enterprise: The SBE Project goal is 0%. This contract solicitation is subject to the defined pool selection requirements of Article VII, Chapter 28 of the Denver Revised Municipal Code (D.R.M.C.) (the “SBE Ordinance”) and, as such, this contract is excluded from the coverage of Article III, Chapter 28 of the D.R.M.C. The prime must be a certified SBE and shall meet the project goal of 0% with certified participants as set for in Section 28-211.
As the City’s best interests may appear, the Executive Director of Public Works reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, submittals.
