Community Partners

Denver Animal Shelter collaborates with several community partners throughout the metro Denver area. These partners provide support in a variety of ways, such as funding assistance, discounts of supplies, animal training / socializing assistance, volunteer support, or helping us to build awareness in the community. Please support our partners as they support our efforts to help Denver County's neediest animals. Several partners have designed special offers in support of DAS's efforts and give back a portion of their proceeds to directly benefit the animals in our care and the programs we offer.

If you would like more information on becoming a community partner, contact our Community Partnerships Manager, Jill Brown at jill.brown@denvergov.org

Denver Animal Protection's goal is to keep pets in their homes and out of shelters. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has generously granted DAP funding to support keeping pets in their homes. Thanks to this grant by the ASPCA, the Denver Animal Shelter can offer pet guardians the following resources to help prevent having to surrender their pets:

  • Medical support
  • Behavior training resources
  • Pet care items
  • Fencing repair
  • Pet-friendly housing support

Colorado Pet Overpopulation Fund awarded DAS a grant to support emergency medical care for injured animals and provide microchips to all adoptable cats and dogs.

Denver Animal Foundation is an important and longtime 501c3 partner to Denver Animal Shelter. In addition to a spay/neuter grant, DAF generously partners with DAP on the Denver Employee Combined Campaign, Loveanimals.org, and the Saving Pets Challenge.
Furry Little World is an incredible 501c3 partner. Rescue Runway and YogAdoptables are both made possible through this partnership!
Humane Society of the United States has generously funded the Denver Pets for Life program. The grant provides spay/neuter and vaccination services through a targeted door-to-door outreach program.

Liberty Animal Hospital awarded Denver Animal Protection a $10,000 grant for specialized surgeries. These include fracture repair, TPLO, and dental surgery for shelter animals.
