Annual Valet Location


A valet location license is required for annual valet operations utilizing the public right of way for valet operations including pickup and dropoff of valet customers’ vehicles.

How to Get a Valet Location License

 

Application Fee:  $100.00

License Fee:  $200.00

 

Additional Public Works fees may apply based on application request.

 

Fees can be paid with cash, check,  money order or credit card.  Checks should be made payable to Manager of Finance. 

Your license and applicable permits will be issued  when the following actions are taken: 

  1. All documents required for the license are complete and submitted to the office.
  2. Fees are paid in full.
  3. Inspection review is complete.  
  4. Once your application is reviewed, processed, and approved your license and applicable permits will be emailed and mailed to you by Parking Operations.

 

Renew a Valet Location License

Follow these steps to renew your Valet Location license:

  1. Complete the Annual Valet Location Application (PDF). The same form is used for a new or renewal application.
  2. Email completed application, current insurance and operators license to parkingandmobilityservices@denvergov.org
  3. Parking & Mobility Services will email applicant a packet with directions on next steps and how to pay for the permit.
  4. Pay your fees.
  5. If you are renewing in person, you will be given a completed copy of your application. If you are renewing via mail, your permit and location license will be sent via mail.

Note: Please be reminded that additional fees and information may be requested by Parking & Mobility Services before approval.

 

Renew in Person

 

Once you have completed step 3 above, please come to the Department of Excise and License office with a completed application. Once all documentation is submitted and background check (if required) is approved, you will be issued a payment voucher.

Take the payment voucher to the cashier and pay the renewal license fee.

Return to the Department of Excise and Licenses office with your receipt for payment.

 

Renew by Mail

Once you have completed Step 3 above, you can mail your application renewal packet and check made payable to the Manager of Finance for the total fees due. Be sure to include your Business File Number (BFN) on your check.

Licenses must be renewed on or before the expiration date to avoid penalty fees.

90 Day Grace Period

There is a 90 day grace period from the expiration date during which licenses can be renewed  by paying the license fee and a penalty fee..

First 30 days of grace period:  20% penalty fee

Days 31 - 90:  50% penalty fee

After 90 days:  Licensees will be required to apply for a new license

 

  • Department of Excise and Licenses inspectors will attempt to locate and notify business license holders of the approaching expiration date.  However, failure of an inspector to notify a delinquent licensee that its license has expired does not excuse the licensee from any applicable late penalty.
