WORKING GROUP: SIDEWALKS 

 

Three workers installing a new sidwalkThis working group studies challenges regarding implementing a citywide sidewalk network as a crucial component of Denver's transportation infrastructure. It looks at successful models across the country in order to recommend solutions for funding and implementing strategies to make Denver a more walkable City. 

Sidewalk Working Group 2018 goals:

  • Monitor new city programs for implementation and equity
  • Evaluate and compare “best practices” to fund ongoing installation and repair
  • Research how other jurisdictions are addressing shared streets
  • Refer effective models and policies to Land Use, Transportation, and Infrastructure Committee
