Neighborhood Supported Social Use 2016 logoIn November 2016 Denver voters approved Initiative 300, granting businesses the ability to apply for a license to allow for adult marijuana consumption in designated areas.

As part of the initiative, City Council was tasked with creating a cannabis consumption task force to study the impacts of cannabis consumption permits on the city.

Based on the results of the task force findings, City Council may create additional ordinances to help businesses receive a cannabis consumption permit with the support of an eligible neighborhood organization.

The Social Consumption Area Task Force no longer meets. All discussions pertaining to social consumption areas are held within the Special Issues: Marijuana Committee. For more information please visit this web page.
