Denver Solicits Nominations for Healthy Communities Awards
Nominations for outstanding leaders in public and environmental health accepted through Feb. 5
Jan. 2, 2018 – Do you know an outstanding community partner working to build healthy communities in Denver? We want to know about it.
Denver’s Department of Public Health & Environment is excited to host the fourth annual Denver Healthy Communities Awards (HCAs) to recognize exemplary public and private organizations and community partners that are leading the way in public and environmental health.
The HCAs focus on organizations, projects or individuals engaged in efforts to protect and/or improve the health of Denver’s environment, residents, buildings and pets. Nominees can include those promoting clean air, land and water; those improving food or child safety; those increasing access to healthy food, healthy built environments or activities that promote healthy pets; and those improving the lives of animals or the community at-large.
Nominations will be accepted through Feb. 5 at www.denvergov.org/HCAwards in the following categories:
Nominees can include public, nonprofit and private organizations, and individuals. City agencies are not eligible to apply.
Winners will be announced at a recognition event during the week of April 2 during National Public Health Week.
