District 9 has historically been home to a large number of homeless service providers in our Arapaho Square and Ball Park neighborhoods. Individuals experiencing homeless live in and around District 9, in our office we seek to provide individuals experiencing homelessness not just with affordable housing, but work opportunities so that they may continue to live and thrive in Denver.

Our office will expand the current Denver Day Works program for those experiencing homelessness, and develop more workforce opportunities for the homeless in our city-funded projects.

The District 9 Office is also working on new strategies to increase funding for affordable housing, temporary rental assistance, and affordable housing stock for 0 - 30% AMI.
