The Office of the Executive Director provides overall management of the Department of Public Works; as well as the policy, planning, communication, and legislative coordination of the Department and its 1,300 employees.
The 1,300 men and women of Public Works are proud to deliver the services that help to define the quality of life in Denver. Our responsibilities include year-round road maintenance and repair, weekly household trash collection service to 176,000 households, design and construction management of streets, bridges, and public buildings, transportation services through our parking management, transportation planning, engineering and operations offices, and protection of our urban environment.
