Beginning in April 2019, Denver Public Works will be performing work beneath the Park Avenue bridge to replace bearing pads and repair the concrete substructure at the Wewatta and Delgany intersection.

Work on this project began in April 2019. As of mid-June, the project is on schedule for completion in early August 2019.

Crews are working under the bridge on pillars located near the rail tracks north of Union Station. The project team has coordinated with RTD and the railroads to minimize the need for traffic impacts on the travel lanes on the bridge.

Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM

Lane closures for concrete work on Park Avenue may be required during a later project phase.

During construction:

  • Pedestrian access will be maintained
  • If a Rockies game is scheduled at Coors Field while lane closures are in place, travel lanes will reopen three hours before first pitch.

This project was approved by voters as part of the Elevate Denver Bond Program.
