This letter type will contain:

  • Zone district
  • Applicable overlay districts

No fee

 

Zone Use Verification

This letter type will contain:

  • All information included in Zone District Verification, plus –
  • Is the use or use category permittable within a zone district?
  • Reference to applicable limitations
  • Does this use require a zoning permit?

No fee

 

The targeted turn-around time for District and Use Verification Letters is 5 business days. Due to current high volume, turn-around times may be longer.

Bank Letter

This letter type will contain:

  • Zone district & abutting districts, including waivers & conditions
    (if applicable)
  • Reference to zone district use table
  • Applicable overlay districts
  • Is this property in a special district? (landmark, abutting a parkway, design, view plane)
  • Special permits issued (Conditional Use Permits, ZPIN, ZPSE, etc.)
  • Is this property part of a Site Development Plan or Planned Development Group?
  • General rebuild rights (references to the applicable section of code)
  • Open violations

 $50 fee

 

Zone Lot Verification

This letter type will contain:

  • Zone district
  • Zone lot confirmation
  • Zone lot status

$33/hr research fee

 

Compliance Letter

This letter type will contain:

  • All of the information included in both the Bank Letter and Zone Lot Verification letter, plus –
  • Allowance of use in the zone district & primary use currently permitted
  • Rebuild rights specific to the site

$50 + $33/hr research fee
(if applicable)

 

The targeted turn-around time for Bank, Zone Lot, and Compliance Letters is 30 calendar days. Due to current high volume, turn-around times may be longer. Applications must be submitted per zone lot. Applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received. Unfortunately, we are unable to rush or expedite these letters.


How to Request a Zoning Letter

  • Online via e-permits:
    • Enter e-permits (new users will need to create a free account)
    • Select Development Services > Apply for a Permit
    • Select Zoning Letters and follow the prompts

How to Pay Fees

Online

Many of our fees can be paid online by credit card or electronic check. Visit the "How to Request a Letter" section for e-permits instructions.


In person

Fees may be paid at our cashier on the 2nd floor of the Wellington Webb Building (see map).
