ASSESSMENTS & TESTING

 
 

A city as vibrant and dynamic as Denver requires strong leaders at every level of the organization to create a culture of continuous learning. Individuals who will strengthen their capabilities and management and who will coach and develop strong contributors prepared to meet the evolving opportunities a growing city. Therefore, as part of the application process, candidates who meet minimum qualifications will be required to take an on-line supervisor competency assessment. 

Safe Sender Lists. All communications regarding assessments will come from AssessmentTeam@denvergov.org. Please make sure to check your email spam and junk folders  for our communications. Also, add AssessmentTeam@denvergov.org to your safe senders list to ensure you receive our emails.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Check your junk or spam folder. The email will come from AssessmentTeam@denvergov.org. We recommend you add AssessmentTeam@denvergov.org to your “safe sender” list in your email account. If you do not receive the email within 30 minutes of applying, please contact us at AssessmentTeam@denvergov.org

If you experience any technical difficulties accessing or taking the tests, please contact SHL by submitting an online request for assistance. To submit an online request, please copy and paste https://support.shl.com/candidate into your internet browser. You will then need to select the issue you need assistance with and submit an assistance request form.

You must click on the link you are sent for each application. If you have completed the required assessment within the last six months you will receive a message stating that we already have your results and you will be redirected to the Denvergov.org assessment webpage. If you need to complete the test or assessment you will receive instructions and begin the assessment.

You will have five (5) calendar days to complete the assessment/test. This five days includes the day you are sent the link. After five days the link will deactivate.

If you pass the assessment/test, your application status will change to Under review. If you do not pass the assessment/test, you will receive an email informing you that are no longer being considered for the position.
