Every Summer, students served by Denver Human Services (DHS) in our Child Welfare department are nominated by their caseworkers to be “adopted,” or sponsored, by generous donors in our community who purchase a backpack and school supplies just for them!

We will also once again host a backpack giveaway at our annual #BeSupported Family Fair, where generous donations of backpacks and school supplies will be distributed to clients on a first come, first serve basis

Last year, donors like you helped us provide backpacks to 1,800 students in need, surpassing our goal of 1,000! With your help, our goal is to distribute 1,800 backpacks once again to the youth of Denver Human Services for the 2019-2020 school year!

Here’s how you can give:

1.   Adopt-a-Student

Registration is now closed - all of our students have been sponsored!

2.   Donate School Supplies

Help GIVE Denver fill backpacks by donating backpacks and school supplies. These backpacks will be distributed to families in need at the Denver Human Services #BeSupported Fair on August 10!
