What You Need To Know

This year, we brought back the Denver Botanic Gardens Farm Stands, which sell discounted organic produce grown at Chatfield Farms and accepts EBT. We’re also introducing the SAME Café’s food truck, with pay what you can hot meals, and the Food Bank of the Rockies is bringing their mobile food pantry to all of our offices once a month with boxes of food for anyone with need.

The Farm Stand pops up every Friday from June through October at the Richard T. Castro Human Services Center (1200 Federal Blvd.) and the Arie P. Taylor Municipal Office Building (4685 Peoria St.) in Montbello. They sell organic, fresh vegetables grown at Chatfield Farms

Farm Stand hours:

  • 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. - Richard T. Castro Human Service Center
  • 1:30 - 3 p.m. - Arie P. Taylor Municipal Office Building

The Farm Stands are open to everyone and accept cash, credit, and EBT.  They're also LiveWell Colorado Double Up Bucks Colorado participating locations, meaning you can get 50% off your purchase when you use your EBT card!

SAME Café is a donation-based, fair exchange restaurant that serves healthy food to everyone, regardless of ability to pay. Their mission is to create community through healthy food access.

To further their mission of bringing food to everyone, their donation-based/pay what you can food truck will be stopping at our Richard T. Castro Human Services Center (1200 Federal Blvd.) and the Arie P. Taylor Municipal Building (4685 Peoria St). Fridays for the farm stand.

Because the food is prepared, EBT is not accepted. Donations for meals are requested with suggested amounts listed on the side of the truck.
