SPRING SHOWERS HYGIENE DRIVE

Our fourth annual Spring Showers Hygiene Drive is here!

Now through May 25, we're collecting hygiene items for our neighbors in need.

The Spring Showers Hygiene Drive is our yearly donation drive to stock the GIVE Center with hygiene items that are distributed through our monthly hygiene program. Every month, the GIVE Center serves nearly 500 people, most of whom don't have other options for support in Denver. For many of these people, necessary hygiene items, like shampoo, toothpaste, soap, and deodorant, are unaffordable and out of reach.

That's where the monthly hygiene program comes in.

"The GIVE Center and our monthly hygiene program are important, because they are open to anyone in need with basic resources and information." — Marv Allen, GIVE Denver Director

Hygiene items collected during this drive will go directly to customers served through the GIVE Center and other programs of Denver Human Services. We hope to collect more than 2,000 gallons of hygiene items to distribute throughout 2018 and 2019!

Thank you for being a dedicated GIVE Denver donor! Here's how you can help support this year’s hygiene drive:

  • Make a monetary donation:
Donate funds and we will purchase more hygiene items as we need them throughout 2018. Your generous gift is 100% tax deductible. Donate online or mail us a check!

  • Donate hygiene items:
To make donating convenient, our collection bins are distributed all around Metro Denver. From May 1 through May 25, you can drop off your hygiene donations at any of the public donation sites found on the map below.

Not sure what counts as a hygiene item?

The items we need the most are:

  • Deodorant
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Bar soap and body wash
  • Toothpaste, toothbrushes, and mouthwash
  • Lotion
  • Razors and shaving cream
  • Tampons and pads
  • Baby diapers and wipes
  • Combs and brushes
  • Facial tissue (Kleenex)
  • Toilet paper
  • Hand sanitizer

We accept barely used and opened packages, such as boxes of tampons or maxi pads. We also accept travel size hygiene items, so bring us all of the mini shampoo, conditioner, and mouthwash bottles you've been collecting!

Thank you to our sponsors!

This year's Spring Showers Hygiene Drive wouldn't be possible without the generosity of inodeink and the Community First Foundation. Their combined donations will fund our monthly hygiene program for four months!
