Denver's Road Home works with more than 20 community-based service providers to administer coordinated shelter, outreach, job placement and training and other services for people who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness. The program aworks across county lines to help coordinate housing and other resources across the seven county Metro area. Between January 2015 and December 2016, Denver's Road Home in coordination with the Metro Denver Homelessness Initiative and community-based services providers have housed 995 people who were homeless and sheltered thousands.
Denver's Road Home is committed to ensuring that every man, woman and child who experiences homelessness in our city has an alternative to living on the streets. The success of Denver’s Road Home is thanks to a collaborative partnership among nonprofits, foundations, businesses, individuals, faith-based community, service providers, and government at all levels. The City and County of Denver
Many people feel compelled to help when they see someone who is homeless or panhandling on the streets. Often times, people give a dollar and wonder where that money might go. Most hope that it helps someone who is experiencing homelessness. Many think it’s the only way to help, but there are programs in place to help you Give a Better Way and know exactly how your donation is helping the homeless.
