BP Donation to Denver Will Power Local Shelters for 12 Months

Mayor Michel B. Hancock and Denver’s Road Home will join representatives of BP Lower 48 on World Homeless Day to announce a $350,000 donation from BP to power local shelters for those experiencing homelessness by paying the electric and gas utility costs for the next 12 months.

DHS Releases Results of Needs Assessment of Services for Denver Residents with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Denver Human Services today released the findings of a first-of-its-kind assessment to identify gaps in services for Denver residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The four-month effort gathered more than 500 responses from people living with I/DD, their families, service providers and advocates via interviews, surveys, focus groups, social media, phone, and public meetings.

1,000 Volunteers Needed for Project Homeless Connect

Denver’s Road Home is issuing a call for more than 1,000 volunteers for the annual Project Homeless Connect event on November 15 at the Colorado Convention Center. This free, one-day event is open to people of all ages who are experiencing homelessness or who are experiencing housing instability.
