City issues notice of neighborhood funds for 2020
Denver Economic Development & Opportunity (DEDO) today announced that it has released a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for neighborhood services projects to be funded in 2020.
The city is soliciting proposals from organizations that provide services in one of the following focus areas:
Priority consideration will be given to applications that have a geographic focus on the East Colfax, Elyria/Swansea, Globeville, Montbello, Northeast Park Hill, Sun Valley, Valverde, Villa Park, West Colfax, and Westwood neighborhoods.
Programs must be ready to implement services in the first quarter of 2020. Selected projects and activities will be funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and awards are subject to the availability of funding.
A general information meeting for NOFA applicants will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., in Room 4.G.2 of the Webb Municipal Building, 201 W. Colfax, Denver. The session will include presentations from staff as well as an opportunity for questions and answers. For those who may be newer to the NOFA process, a technical Q&A will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. that day in the same room.
Proposal guidelines, additional information, and the link to online applications in both categories can be found at Denvergov.org/economicdevelopment. The deadline to submit funding applications for neighborhood projects is Friday, August 16, 2019, at 4 p.m.
