Public Trustee Looks to Return $1.3 Million in Excess Proceeds

DENVER – When a home goes to a foreclosure sale, it may sell for more money than the owner owes the bank. That extra money is called “excess proceeds”. Currently, Denver Clerk & Recorder Debra Johnson has her Public Trustee staff working to get more than $1.3 million in excess proceeds to Denver residents.

New Proxy Marriage Law in Effect on May 28

Gov. Hickenlooper signed HB15-1327 into law changing the requirements for proxy marriage. The law is effective on May 28, 2015. These are the new requirements for proxy marriages.
