Denver Office of Clerk and Recorder Suspends In-Person Services
Denver Clerk and Recorder Paul López has made the difficult decision to suspend all in-person services in our divisions of the Office of Clerk and Recorder beginning Monday, March 16 for two weeks. This includes Denver Elections, the Office of Public Trustee, the Office of City Clerk and the Recording office. Our office will continue to process online, phone and mail transactions during this time.
During this suspension, residents seeking marriage licenses are asked to delay applying for a license if possible, or apply in another county as a last resort as marriage licenses require an in-person oath. Due to this rapidly evolving situation, it is strongly advised that you call ahead to other counties or check their websites and social media to see if they are able to accommodate the additional volume.
