Fishing equipment and bait will be provided for kids to use during the event. Kids who don’t already have their own rod will get to keep one (for free!) when they are finished fishing for the day. We encourage children who own fishing equipment to bring it with them on the day of the event. The number of rods for each event is limited so be sure to get there early!
Fishing education programs will be presented at both 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. at all Fun Fishing Days throughout the 2013 season. Participants will learn about fish, environmental stewardship, fishing ethics, angling skills, and safety. All event participants are encouraged to attend this informative program!
Fun Fishing Days are FREE and open to the public. If you are 16 years or older you must have a fishing license to fish. Catch-and-release is encouraged during the event to ensure all kids get the opportunity to catch a fish.
