Denver Recreation Center Closures
Effective March 16, 2020: With the announcement made by Mayor Michael B. Hancock of a pending Public Health Order, the City & County of Denver will close all Denver Recreation Centers until further notice. All centers that are meal sites will continue to serve program participants during regularly scheduled hours (Monday-Friday, 3:30-5:30pm). Learn more about this program.
In addition, Denver Parks and Recreation (DPR) has made the difficult decision to cancel all registered spring programs. Customers registered for programs will be fully refunded. If you have additional questions, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding during this time.
Aztlan is a Neighborhood Level recreation center located in the northwest area. Its facility features include:
Pickleball is a fun paddle sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. It is played on a badminton sized court with a slightly modified tennis net. Play occurs on a "first come, first served" basis. Equipment is available for use.
Using the principles of Joseph Pilates, this mat-based class is designed to increase core strength, flexibility, coordination, posture, and body awareness.
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.
