Denver Animal Protection’s priorities continue to be to work hard to protect the health and safety of our pets, our community, our volunteers, and our staff.

A mask/face covering, and six-feet social distancing will be required. 

Please read the instructional signage when arriving at the shelter and follow all social distancing markers. We respectfully request that anyone who is currently ill (or has any known risk factors related to the virus) not visit Denver Animal Shelter. 

Denver Animal Shelter adoptions are open though we are not permitting parties to self-tour through adoptable animals. Current adoptable animals are displayed online, and customers can select a maximum of two animals to visit at the shelter. To assist customers with adoptions, DAP is offering its Adoption Hold Program via telephone. Customers can call 720-337-1810 to place an adoption hold, prior to the animal becoming available for adoption. Visit our website to view animals available for holds. Adoption holds are a $20 and $15 (for 2nd hold) donation.
