Official City Business Parking Permits

The Official City Business (OCB) parking may be extended to Cabinet members, City employees, and officials appointed by the Mayor,  whose primary job duties involves field work utilizing their personal vehicle throughout the City and County of Denver. An OCB authorization is designed for short term use; limited to time posted on meters and signage, and is not permitted in the areas immediately adjacent to Webb Building, Minoru Yasui Building, City and County Building, Elections & Environment Health Building, Main Branch of Public Library, or the Justice Center.

Physical permits are not to be issued; instead authorized license plates are added to an official database which will be available to enforcement personnel. An authorized vehicle observed on the right-of-way will be noted and will be allotted the posted time for parking in accordance with the rules of this permit.

It is the responsibility of the authorized employee to report plates that may be used as well as any plate changes in a timely manner. License plate changes will take 48 business hours to update once notification has been received by Right of Way Enforcement (ROWE). Therefore, it is the responsibility of the employee to find alternative parking until the vehicle is permitted. Please note that until a confirmation email has been sent notify the employee that in 48 business hours the vehicle information will be uploaded, the vehicle does not possess a valid OCB permit. 

Permits expire on December 31 annually; users must resubmit applications each year.
