7th Annual Denver Days Kicks off this Weekend

Mayor Hancock will join with residents from across the city to celebrate the Denver Spirit and encourage neighbors getting to know each other

DENVER – Mayor Michael B. Hancock will kick-off the 7th annual Denver Days this Saturday along with residents and community organizations from across the city. This year, the Denver Days celebration will feature nearly 200 and counting neighborhood block parties, social events and community service projects during the nine days from Saturday, August 3 to Sunday, August 11.

“Denver Days, at its heart, is about neighbors coming together to get to know one another and creating connections in our neighborhoods that will last for a lifetime,” Mayor Hancock said. “I want to encourage everyone to get out there and attend an event near them, meet your neighbors, build community and celebrate the spirit of our great city.”

The 7th annual Denver Days celebration will encourage residents from across the city to come together and celebrate the spirit of Denver through a series of community gatherings, including Extreme Community Makeover, Family Resource Fair and the National Night Out events taking place on Tuesday, August 6.

Denver Days was developed in 2013 by Mayor Hancock to promote neighborhood celebrations and encouraging community participation in service-oriented projects, creating a spirit among residents that they take an active role in making their city a great place to live and work.

The 2019 Denver Days celebration is made possible by the generous support of community partners Comcast, Denver Water and Tavern Hospitality Group.
