NDCC Open House at The GrowHaus

On Wednesday, September 20, NDCC co-hosted its third quarter open house at The GrowHaus in Swansea. Nearly 75 families attended the event.

NDCC and its partners, CDOT and Colorado State University- Extension, presented project updates and answered questions about initiatives underway in north Denver. Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) representatives provided information about free home improvements available to Central 70 neighbors. Colorado State University-Extension gave a healthy cooking demonstration and gardening tips.

Additionally, NDCC and GrowHaus presented information about resources for immigrant families. City Attorney, Lauren Schmidt attended the open house to answer questions about Denver’s immigration policies and protections.

NDCC is grateful for its collaboration with GrowHaus.  Our work in the communities of Globeville, Elyria and Swansea would not be possible without the support of this well-respected community organization.

Help support GrowHaus’ work in north Denver by purchasing a monthly food box or by making a donation.
