The Sierra Club Rocky Mountain Chapter through our Our Wild America campaign and with the Let’s Move! Outside initiative of YMCA of Metro Denver are excited to celebrate National Public Lands Day in a big way with our Public Lands Palooza event. This event will be the largest flash dance celebrating the outdoors and healthy lifestyles in the country. The creators of the BioBlitz dance have a challenge in 2016 to celebrate the centennial of our parks and public lands by bringing our community together and connecting people to nature in a fun, innovative way.
This event, located in the heart of Denver at Mestizo-Curtis park will bring together the Denver community to enjoy music, the largest BioBlitz flashdance and free, healthy foods. We will bring friends and family together from across Denver to learn how they can find their park, understand America’s outdoor heritage and educate the community about our public lands, both near and far from their homes all while moving people outdoors to create a healthier lifestyle.
