Denver Parks and Recreation, DaVita and Bicycle Colorado have teamed up to offer Denver youth bicycle education in Denver's 27 recreation centers. MY Denver Bikes is being offered as a part of the city's MY Denver Card program and will teach youth ages 11-14 how to assemble, maintain and safely use their bikes to get around their neighborhood and other locations like school and their local parks and recreation center. Those who participate in all 5 days of the session will take home a brand new 26-inch mountain bike complete with helmet and lock, courtesy of DaVita.

Denver Human Services (DHS) and Denver Botanic Gardens celebrated the peak of the summer harvest today by officially kicking off their annual fresh foods Farm Stands, which bring nutritious, locally grown produce to Denver neighborhoods that lack access to fresh fruits and vegetables.

Denver Water worked with Tava Waters to install over 2,500 shower heads and over 2,500 bathroom sink faucet aerators with more water efficient models. TAVA Waters is a 3,000 person residential community in southeast Denver. The shower head and faucet replacements will save Tava Waters around 33 million gallons of water each year.
