Arrest in Police Officer Involved Accident

DENVER, CO – Wednesday, March 25, 2015 – The Denver Police Department Traffic Investigations Unit, with assistance from the DPD Fugitive Unit, have arrested Christopher Booker 03/09/1973 regarding a collision that occurred on 12-03-14, at the location of E Colfax Ave & N High St (14-641056).

Booker is being held for investigation of the following Colorado Revised Statutes:

·         18-3-202 Assault in the First Degree, a class 3 felony

·         18-3-205 Vehicular Assault, a class 5 felony

·         18-8-306 Attempt to Influence a Public Servant, a class 4 felony

·         18-5-102 Forgery, a class 5 felony

Booker was operating a motor vehicle when he struck Denver Police Bicycle Unit officers who were providing traffic control and a safe escort for East High School students and staff during a demonstration that took place on E Colfax Ave. Booker lost control of his motor vehicle, accelerating from a stop striking the bike officers, causing serious and bodily injury to several.
