Denver Police Arrest Juvenile in Connection with Shooting Death

Denver – Friday, September 20, 2019 – On Wednesday, September 18, 2019, Denver Police responded to a residence in the 1700 block of S. Monaco Pkwy. on a reported shooting. A juvenile male shooting victim, 14-year-old Treaujalaune Lornes, was transported to the hospital and was later pronounced deceased.

Through the investigation, detectives identified another juvenile male as the shooting suspect, and this morning, that juvenile male suspect was arrested for Investigation of Manslaughter, Second Degree Assault, three counts of Felony Menacing, Attempting to Influence a Public Official and Juvenile in Possession of a Handgun. The Denver District Attorney’s Office will make the final determination on charges.

Because the arrestee is a juvenile, the Denver Police Department is prohibited by law from providing additional information, reports or a booking photo.
