Citizens' Police Academy
The Citizens’ Police Academy (CPA) is a multi-week program conducted up to ten times a year, with an average of 25-35 attendees. Is designed to familiarize Citizens with the “how/what/why” of Police procedures, and provide an opportunity interact and ask Officers questions. The CPA is no longer held exclusively at the Police Academy, but moves around the Police District Stations, and other sites, including the Denver Police Academy.
The Citizens’ Academies do their best to reflect current themes and topics, and encourage discussion of how the Police operate in general.
Scheduled Citizen's Police Academies:
Participants attend lectures and discussions on subjects such as:
- Officer Safety
- Police History
