Notice: On August 28, 2017, the city implemented a new system for financial processes. The integration of this new system with the application that posts payment transactions to Denver’s Open Checkbook and Open Data is still in progress. While the city is working diligently to make this financial information to the public, there is currently no estimate for when this data will be online, searchable, and current on Transparent Denver or Open Data.

For transaction inquiries during this time, please contact the accounts payable division at

Photograph of Mayor Michael HancockPublic trust is a critical dynamic of a world-class city. From day one of my administration, I made a firm commitment to making city government more open, accountable and accessible to the residents of our great city. Transparent Denver is the realization of that commitment.

Contained in this site you will find two critical elements:

  • transparency—access to information about what is really happening, and
  • accountability—ways to hold decision-makers accountable for the decisions we make.

These two elements sit at the heart of the work we do day-in and day-out and significantly contribute to our ongoing commitment to meeting people where they are.
