Denver Moves: Transit Program

An initiative to create a transit-friendly city

Denver has a vision of a fast, reliable transit system. The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) is planning for a transit system that moves more people, more efficiently. The City is working with RTD to improve transit infrastructure on key corridors to ensure we create a transit system that everyone can depend on.

Our Goal: Increase the transit mode share to 15% of Denver commuters

Program Focus Areas

  • Capital Investment Corridors — investing in long-term capital-intensive infrastructure
  • Speed and Reliability — investing in short to mid-term fixes
  • Service — improving transit service
  • Passenger Amenity Program — ensuring transit amenities meet basic needs
