LEARN TO BACKYARD COMPOST!

FREE "Learn to Backyard Compost” Classes offered May through October

Did you know?

Organic materials like leaves, branches, grass clippings and food scraps make up about 50% of what Denver residents send to the landfill each year. Instead of trashing these valuable materials, sign up for one of Denver Recycles’ and Denver Urban Gardens’ FREE hands-on composting classes today and learn how to turn these materials into compost in your own backyard. Utilizing compost around your home and garden provide many benefits to your soil, lawn, plants and trees!

All classes are held at the Denver Compost Demonstration Site, located in the Gove Community Garden at 13th Ave. and Colorado Blvd. Street parking is available along Harrison St., one block west of Colorado Blvd.

To sign up for a class, call 303-292-9900 or visit dug.org/compost.
