New Rapid Flashing Beacon Installed in Cherry Creek

DOTI has installed a Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) at East 1st Avenue and Cook Street to help facilitate pedestrian and bike crossing movements east of the Cherry Creek shopping area. The RRFB will enhance safety by increasing awareness of people crossing the street at this location. People in cars should be aware that when the beacon is flashing, it means someone has activated the beacon to let you know they are crossing the street, and people in vehicles must slow or stop to allow people walking or biking to cross safely.
