VISION ZERO IN THE COMMUNITY

One Federal Boulevard

In 2017, 11 people died in crashes along Federal, including 7 pedestrians. The rate of fatalities on Federal is currently 20 times higher than the urban rate on Colorado roadways. To expedite safety improvements, CCD is coordinating closely with partners, convening the One Federal Boulevard task force, which includes members from DPW, CDOT and DPD. Learn more »

Vision Zero Community Program

This program gives teams of community members an opportunity to design a project to increase awareness of Vision Zero and promote safer streets in their neighborhoods. WalkDenver is assisting in the development, administration, and support of the program. Learn more »

 

Community Voices

Denver’s Vision Zero initiative is working to eliminate traffic deaths and serious injuries on city streets by creating a culture of safety – one that promotes, prioritizes, and values human life. In 2019, our team is partnering with students at CU Denver to create four videos that promote safe travel behavior and that reflect the voices and ideas of our community members. Learn more »
