The GIVE Center

Our center acts as a drop-off and distribution center for donations, which are given to at-risk individuals helped by Denver Human Services (DHS), and a base for volunteers who provide assistance to the same people.

Donations help vulnerable children, adults and families including the homeless, foster children, veterans, at-risk and disabled seniors, and those living on the brink of poverty. All donations directly benefit Denver’s most vulnerable children, families and individuals. Donations are tax-deductible.

Volunteers work as resource navigators and serve as liaisons between DHS customers and the community and organizations that provide services and resources. Whenever possible, we assist clients with emergency needs by connecting them to resources within their own neighborhood. By doing this, our resource navigators empower clients to sustain a stable lifestyle in their home community. We also help DHS workers provide the basic necessities to individuals who are in need.

The GIVE Center is located on the first floor of the main Denver Human Services building, 1200 Federal Blvd. We are open Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

How to benefit from our center

Clients are connected to basic necessities and advocacy services after the referral of a DHS team member. Throughout the year underserved youth and adults are given books and gifts that help them maintain a sense of security.

How to help the center

Basic necessities are especially needed and accepted any time the GIVE Center is open. These items include:

  • Diapers
  • Toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Shampoo
  • Brushes

Monetary donations are also welcome -- make checks payable to Denver Human Services. These can be dropped off any time the GIVE Center is open or can be mailed to us at: The GIVE Denver Center, 1200 Federal Blvd., Denver, CO 80204

You can also support any of our four donation events.

By volunteering with Denver Human Services, you’ll be helping foster, homeless and disadvantaged children, veterans, individuals, and families. Additionally, you will contribute to making Denver a better place to live. We have various volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Visit the GIVE Denver Volunteer page for more information.
