Speak Up It's the Law Conference

The State of Colorado will require many service professionals to report suspected elder abuse beginning July 2014 because of the passage of Senate Bill 111. To help professionals understand SB 111 their roles, responsibilities and liability as a mandated reporter, the City & County of Denver and Denver District Attorney are hosting a one-day conference, Speak Up It’s the Law. The information provided at the conference will be Denver specific.

The conference will be held June 11, 2014 from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the University of Denver. This conference, including breakfast and lunch, is provided at no charge thanks to our sponsors. CLE training credits are pending. 

A partial list of mandatory reporters includes: Pharmacists, Medical Professionals, Clergy, Social Workers, Guardians, Conservators, Financial Institution Personnel, Home Health and Care Facility staff. All are urged to attend.

The Speak Up It's the Law Conference will teach you everything you need to know about the Mandated Elder Abuse Reporting Law, as it relates to the law in Denver. The training day will include demonstrations, lecture, video, and audience interaction.
