  • Natural Hazards Center in Boulder, Colorado This is the homepage of the Natural Hazards Center at the University of Colorado in Boulder Colorado. This comphrensive site provides research publications on natural hazards, updates on on-going research, dates and locations of upcoming workshops, and links to colleges and universities providing emergency management training. There is also an online searchable library data-base.
  • Federal Emergency Management Agency The FEMA webpage provides information on current federally declared disasters, links to state emergency management agencies, and family preparedness information. In addition, there is a "FEMA for Kids" section.
  • Emergency Management Gold A site with links to other emergency management, volunteer, and disaster sites. Designed by a Certified Emergency Manager for emergency managers, this "busy" site can provide you with a wealth of information. 
  • International Association of Emergency Managers This is an international association of emergency management personnel based in Falls Church, Virginia. The Association promotes professionalism in the field and provides a link to current issues in emergency management. 
  • Global Emergency Management System This is a searchable database through the Federal Emergency Management Agency. In addition, it has a solid subject listing on a comprehensive range of topics. 
  • Open for Business This disaster planning toolkit includes assessment tools that help a business determine its susceptibility to disaster and to minimize its risks. This toolkit also includes a collection of easy to use business continuity forms, which help to organize a business's critical information and review its essential operations.
